Cardholders will earn at the highest applicable rate, once your five transactions per statement cycle minimum has been reached. For example, if you make an in-person purchase at a retailer that awards 5% back, you'd earn a total of 5% back for that transaction, up to the $10,000 annual limit. After you reach that limit, all future transactions can earn 1% back. Rewards do not stack.
