Why did I earn fewer rewards than I expected?
You may not have achieved your five transaction per statement cycle minimum requirement to earn rewards. You can check your rewards status in the Cardless app. To see how many rewards you’ve earned for any given transaction, navigate to the “Rewards” tab and review your “rewards activity.”
In accordance with standard industry practices, merchants are assigned a merchant category code (MCC) based on their line of business, or the type of products and/or services they primarily sell or provide. Cardless does not assign MCCs to merchants and has no control over this process. Even if you make purchases at a merchant that appears to fit in a Rewards category, the merchant may not have an assigned MCC in that Rewards category. Since we use the MCCs to classify your purchases and determine if they qualify for rewards, the MCC assignment may affect your rewards earning.
